Every year the Alpha Sigma chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. holds its Blue & White Scholarship Ball event. The location for this year’s ball was at La Fontaine Bleue. This is a very nice venue with a large dining area, delicious food and a large dancing area when the mood hits.
This ball is the chapter’s most talked about event. Where ladies and gentlemen dress in their best dresses and suits & ties and come together to wine, dine and enjoy the fellowship of one another’s company. It is also where they award college scholarships to well deserving high school students.
This year it was awarded to three young men who proved both through scholastic achievement and service commitment that they were indeed worthy of a helping hand when they go off to college. This is also the time where they award special awards to Alpha Sigma chapter members.
After all the awards and scholarships are awarded it’s time to party. Folks cut loose and let their hair down. They also gather out in front of the large fountain to take pictures. The classiness of the whole evening leaves you wanting more. Well there is always next year.
